The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Woodstock, New York, has maintained a healing presence in our community for over a century, promoting health, harmony, and peace.

Like other Christians, we take the teachings of Christ Jesus as our guide to life and spirituality. But we go a step further. Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, devoted her life to discovering the system of healing as demonstrated by Jesus, a practice lost since the early years of Christianity. She revived healing as a proof of divine Principle, and in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, she specified the method and rules enabling anyone to practice and demonstrate this divine healing power.

You are invited to attend our Sunday morning services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings, either in person or by Zoom. You are also welcome to visit our Reading Room, where you may find inspiration in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy and learn about the thousands of healings of illnesses, injuries, depression, loss, and myriads of other challenges documented by Christian Scientists over more than a century.
